I fell in love with this sunset padparadascha sapphire and this stunning landscape Australian opal that I found together at the ethical gem show at Brooklyn Metal works this past fall. I absolutely love the combination of the smush and the landscape opal together. Big swoon. I daydreamed about their future combination the entire bus ride home on that sunny October day. The smushes represent light, a guide, some hope. A sunset closes the day, turns off the lights and says “it’s time to let go”. Surrender isn’t about giving up, it’s about yielding to divine timing and trusting the process. The landscape metaphorically represents a quintessential longing, a dream, a memory, a fondness for a place or for a time in our lives.
